Grant Morrison is returning to Superman with a brand new series titled ‘Superman And The Authority’. When it comes to Superman, Morrison is a hugely popular name, thanks to their incredible work on ‘All Star Superman’.
Well, they’re back and with a brand new limited series that is set to shake up the status quo for the Superman family. The series will consist of four issues and will be written by Grant Morrison with artwork by Mikel Janín. I am a big fan of both of these names and I am very much looking forward to seeing where this goes!
Here’s the official write up from THR:
If Superman is to free the prisoners of Warworld, he’s going to need help, the kind of help that doesn’t scream “Justice League.” This new team will be led by Manchester Black, and combine original members Midnighter and Apollo with new members Enchantress and Natasha Irons, as well as new versions of Lightray and O.M.A.C. This new team will have to learn to work together, and fast, as the Ultra-Humanite has formed his own team of villains to take out the Man of Steel. This new limited series will help launch an all-new status quo for Superman, setting up story elements that will impact both Action Comics and Superman: Son of Kal-El in the months to come.Cited From THR.

Like I said, I am very much looking forward to seeing where this goes. Not only are we seeing Superman team up with a completely different team, but it looks like we are seeing iconic and classic villains back in comics! Superman And The Authority by Grant Morrison launches 20th July 2021 and I cannot wait to get stuck in!
