David Corenswet will play Clark Kent/Superman and Rachel Brosnahan will star as Lois Lane in James Gunn’s upcoming film, ‘Superman: Legacy’ – the film that is set to kickstart the new DC Universe and official DC Studios plan.

Since it was announced that ‘Superman: Legacy’ would recast the roles of Clark Kent/Superman and Lois Lane, fans have taken to the internet to cast their suspicions and fan casts. Now, after numerous rumours and casting choices, James Gunn has taken to social media to confirm his choices.

David Corenswet will play Clark Kent/Superman and Rachel Brosnahan will star as Lois Lane in James Gunn’s upcoming film, ‘Superman: Legacy‘ – the film that is set to kickstart the new DC Universe and official DC Studios plan.

Over the past few weeks a number of duos have screen-tested for the roles, those duos include Nicholas Hoult, Tom Brittney, Emma Mackey and Phoebe Dynevor, but it is this duo that made the final cut. Both Superman and Lois Lane are iconic roles to play and with such great past performances, the pair have big boots to fill. With that said they certainly look the part and if their past performances are anything to go by, they will be just fine.

‘Superman: Legacy’ is set for release on 11th July 2025 and will be the first full feature film as part of the newly revamped DC Studios. I wish David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan all the best in their roles and I cannot wait to see what they bring to the characters. Welcome to the Superman family!
