Ana Nogueira Set To Write ‘Supergirl: Woman Of Tomorrow’ For DC Studios
Earlier this week it was confirmed that Ana Nogueira is set to write the script for upcoming live action ‘Supergirl: Woman Of Tomorrow’ for DC Studios. It is great to see this new era of DC films move forward and I cannot wait to see what’s to come.
Ana Nogueira is an actress and playwright best known for The Vampire Diaries and this project sees her first move toward screenwriting. Though I am not hugely familiar with her work, it is great to see fresh new female talent taking on the iconic character of Kara Zor-El. As of yet ‘Supergirl: Woman Of Tomorrow’ has no Director attached to the film, thought I would love to see Tom King and Bilquis Evely get involved in the film seeing as they are the creators of the original source material released in 2021.

This isn’t the first time that Nogueira’s name has been attached to Supergirl, she was first hired to write a Supergirl film in 2022 which was set to be a spinoff of The Flash, which featured Sasha Calle as the character. After that was scrapped, Nogueira has now moved across to this Supergirl project, it’s clear that she has a determination and passion for the character.
There is no official release date for ‘Supergirl: Woman Of Tomorrow’ as of yet, but I look forward to seeing more news on the project.
